Teaching Respect for All Life, Chastity and Making Good
Choices
The Choose Life! Education Program is a six-week course of study for
junior high students teaching a consistent ethic of life and explaining the
dangers of abortion and other forms of violence against the human person.
This program has reached over 24,000 students so far in the Cleveland area.
We are now expanding into the Akron area.

“This program deserves an award. I think it
is awesome as to what they are trying to do. Why would anybody not want to
save a little, defenseless baby? It is extremely important that everybody
knows what is going on. Choose Life, Rock On!” ~ 6th grade, St. Bridget
“This was a great program and I learned a lot
of things I didn’t know about abortion. I used to be pro-choice but this
program changed my views on abortion, so now I’m pro-life. I enjoyed the
project we did and learning more facts about abortion.”~8th grade, St. Rocco

"What I am going to remember most about this
is our long talks about chastity. This class has definitely helped me change
my views on a subject that I was struggling with, thank you very much for
your help. I will change my lifestyle after this class. Thank you!" ~ 8th
grade, St. Bridget
“This is a phenomenal program – well defined
in expectations at each grade level and a balanced mix of Catholicity and
health. The commitment and beliefs of the instructors were made extremely
clear to the students. They allow so many of these teenagers to see the
truth & to set some goals for future dedication in choosing life for all!” ~
8th grade Teacher, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel

“My cousin’s friend was pregnant and she
didn’t know who the father was, she wanted to have an abortion and everyone
kept telling her it was okay to have one. After hearing her story I got my
envelope from last year and showed it to her. She took it home and read over
it. She decided to have the baby. Nine months later she was in labor, she
had twins, the babies are now a year old and I see them all the time. I am
glad I had this program because now I know I saved two possibly three lives.
Thank you!” ~ 7th grade St. Rocco
NEW! NEW! NEW!
LifeWorks Ohio has developed a
new closing session for our 7th grade classes called “God Makes No
Mistakes.” It was developed to stress LifeWorks’ goal of teaching that the
pro-life movement encompasses all life from conception to natural death.
Special guest speakers share personal and touching stories about children
with disabilities. For example, the class learns that 90% of the babies
diagnosed with Down Syndrome while in the womb, are being aborted. Yet when
the students hear testimony of disabled children in the Cleveland area who
have positively affected the world around them, they understand that all
life is worthy of protection.
Feedback regarding our new program:
“Once again I would like to thank you for
allowing us to be the ‘first’ to pilot the wonderful presentation regarding
Special Needs Children. The program was very effective and we were blessed
to have it presented to our 7th grade students. I spoke with our 7th and 8th
grade Religion teacher and she would like to have the program presented for
our 8th grade students, as well. Please consider coming back to St. Francis
Xavier to speak to our 8th grade students, as we feel the message is
powerful and we would like our students to be graced with its content. God
Bless You for all you do.” ~Assistant Principal, St. Francis Xavier
“The program ‘God Makes No Mistakes’ was very
moving. It was very nice to see a diverse family and know that God creates
everyone to be in a family with love. People with disabilities bring joy in
our lives and give us hope.” ~7th grade, St. Francis Xavier

“I liked the program. I learned a lot about
people with special needs and adoptions. I have come to appreciate people
like them more. I think it was done wonderfully and it was very touching. It
had a great message.” ~7th grade, St. Francis Xavier
“The program was great! It was a perfect
follow-up to the Choose Life Program. It was done very well.” ~7th grade,
St. Francis Xavier |

Who Benefits?
• The grade school children benefit because
of their increased understanding of God’s gift of life and what it means to
treat each human person with dignity and respect.
• Parents and teachers benefit from the
materials and enthusiasm the children bring home and share with their
teachers and peers.
• The school system benefits through this
opportunity to express and reinforce values and morals.
• Unborn children benefit as children have
the strength to resist the anti-life cultural messages they will hear
throughout life. This may perhaps save their own unborn children and the
unborn children of friends and family whom they spread the message to.
• The entire community benefits through the
development of an informed citizenry that can promote public policies which
protect unborn children, the aged, and infirm from the culture of death.
